Dominguez Wins Capablanca Memorial

The 44th Capablanca Memorial tournament was held in Havana from 8-18 June.

In the elite group, Leinier Dominguez (pictured) was the top seed, and he won the 6-player double round-robin event with a score of 6.5/10.  Dominguez clinched the victory with an impressive final round win against his nearest rival, Georg Meier of Germany.

All of Dominguez' wins are shown below.

@beginner_sm After 41.Qxf2 Qc1 check forks the white king and rook, so black wins a piece.

Can someone please tell me why the White resigned after 40... Rxf2 in the first game?

Leinier Dominguez is the best chess player of Cuba after Capablanca ; he like the great Cuban champion usually don'tget over worming  advance in the opening but he has superlative end game  and is capable of beating any grand master , his ranting speak for him ( 2721) impressively.

Cubans that love this game like me are proud of him.

I played against Meier 2 years ago (of course I lost), he becomes better and better :)

I liked the win against Meier, almost Capablanca-esque how cleanly he finished that game off.
