Hey, do you play unrated tutoring game on chess.com? I'd like to learn from you if possible.

Thanks,

GeniusKJ, I am not playing on chess.com or other sites. I prefer teaching in person.

But I live in Idaho, 2500 miles away from NY :(

I'd love your tutoring if possible. Otherwise, I understand

GeniusKJ, connecting in person is important to me as a professional instructor. On top of that for tutoring, as it is for playing on a chess site, there are too many disconnects.

Oh man! You're talking about live chess... I'm talking about coorespondence chess. Do you know about online (not live) chess on chess.com? There are no disconnects and we have have a 5day/move time set..

GeniusKJ, I would only play online 5 minute 0 delay (or close to that). I would not play online to play slower than OTB. I played postal once for three years. It was too time consuming when I took it seriously, so I played it blindfold. I often returned moves without using a board.

GeniusKJ, If you are playing a move in 5 days, perhaps you have the time to read a book about your neck of the woods: Big Trouble by Lukacs (1997).

I dont play a move in 5 days... thats the time set.... You have that much time to move... I move when I get online which is like 5 times a day.... I have 20ish online games in progress... you're missing the point here... The great thing about online chess is how one can learn... the game doesnt have to be finished in one sitting..

Of course, one can learn from chess at any speed. Each speed is an approach to learning chess. By not playing online, I have more time to study and write. I prefer to play OTB.

Yes, but one can be taught endgames, and openings online!
