Mate in 2

Submitted by darksquares on Wed, 10/22/2008 at 10:08am.

I was messing around with my chessboard yesterday, and I came up with this puzzle.  I had origionally thought it was mate in 3, but I saw a better mate.

Just thought I would share it.

That's what I origionally thought the solution was.  Rxf7 Nf6  Qxf2 Qxf2  Rxf2#.  Mate in three.

RXF7, knight blocks, but then the queen can checkmate so that works too.

Isn't this mate is one? You can just move the rook to f7 and that's mate.
